New Work from 2008

These are out-takes from a shoot I did with Alex & Chloe, jewelry and t-shirt designer.   Simplicity is so beautiful to me.  I chose to share these images because they range from sexy to quirky.  Two of my favorites.  

December 2008: The Advocate

Here is a shot I did for The Advocate last time I was in New York.   I really love shooting in New York.  Its like - walk outside and boom - instant awesome location. 

This is Perry Moore and Hunter Hill.  They co-directed  the film Lake City.  Really great guys.  Super kind.  The out-take I included is one of my favorites in a while.  It was just a test shot, but it really shows this teams diversity with Perry's effervescent attitude and Hunters cool calm and collected demeanor.

December/January 2008/2009: Paper Magazine

Billy Raftery is the founder of childrenrise.com and created the film Give Us This Day, a five year long journey documenting the street kids of Durban.  

My image leads off the portfolio and story of 2008 DoGooders.  

We shot this on a small street in Santa Monica.  I've included the lower image which was an out-take.  

January 2009: Orange Coast Magazine

Here is a page and some out-takes that I shot for January's Orange Coast Magazine.  

It was a low key shoot with natural light from the giant windows in front and a little flash fill.  

The accessories I shot outside in a white tent.  The ladies were rad and all their stuff was really beautiful.  It was all very organic and green which was awesome.
